Connecticut per records.The birth place of Rhode Island on
Almira's Missouri record of death is mistake |

Senator Alvarado “Al” Adams (10 Jul 1841, Louisville,
Jefferson County, Kentucky-17 Jul 1886, Kansas City,
Jackson County, Missouri), Location unknown due to destroyed
records, unmarked grave. Includes an
obit and
death transcript. Stage Manager of Coliseum
theatre, started vomiting blood and then fell to floor dead
at a drugstore. Early history - Confederate Army
soldier, 1861, captured at Zanesville, Ohio and taken to
Chicago as a POW. Studied medicine and graduated in
1864 and practiced medicine in Frankfort, Kentucky but
became interested in politics, in 1869 elected Democratic
State Senator, 9th District. Left politics and
medicine for the stage and went to New York and was employed
at the Bowery as a Stump Orator. Surviving are a
divorced wife and daughter of Cincinnati, Ohio, died from a
ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm. All cemetery
records were destroyed in a fire in the sexton's cottage in
1889 so it is impossible to determine where Adams was
buried; no gravestone was reported in the 1933 or 1986
inscription surveys nor the 2011 photographic survey of the
cemetery |
